My Blog
[10/19/08] Life is going quite well out here. My knee has healed up quite nicely, I am happy that I can go to school without the dorky knee brace and I can go up the stairs without looking like a freeeak. On top of that, its so so so so so pretty up here now. All the leaves are changing, and its starting to get cold out. I may be getting excited over little things, but just the fact that I had to put the heater on in my truck in the way to get some hay from the barn makes me giddy. I just adore being able to have soup for dinner and hot coco for breakfast, and nothing in between because I running around outside.
I think that this great season is making me charged, all wee I have been really hyper, even though I have been staying up until ten on the phone, not getting to sleep until eleven, and waking up at five to get ready.
Which brings me to another point. I met a boy and he is really sweet. He is funny and cute, and not a complete jerk. And that is so nice, because up until now, I always figured that those were just the ones that liked me. The jerks who were only out for the obvious. I don't know what it is, I just like him. On Friday he took me home after school and hung around my house for awhile. It was a little hectic because while we were driving to my house, I wasn't paying attention, and we had to turn around because I missed my turn. Then, when we were driving up the driveway, he bottomed out because he drove into a small rut. We just kind of looked at each other with these shocked expressions on our faces.
I had a really good time at the game too, but it was super cold. I kept hoping that he would put his arm around me or something, but I'm not too upset that he didn't. He kept doing really cute things like saying something kind of picking on me, then looking over at me and smiling.
:] yay
[10/12/08] A torn ligament. That's what's wrong with my knee. On the bright side I can walk and go up the stairs and all that jazz. :]
I have been off all week for fall break, it been really nice relaxing around the house and staying up late. Also, the leaves are all turning brilliant reds and yellows. I can not believe it is already October. I remember last Halloween, Jessie and I went out trick-or-treating. I went dressed as Link from the Legend of Zelda and Jessie went as a some kind of a zombie monster thing. We ended up getting accompanied by two eighteen year olds who lived in the neighborhood. It was overall a pretty good night. It does make me a little sad though, only because Caity and I had plans to dress up like Playboy Bunnies and throw a party. haha. What a couple of skankss. This year I well probably just go to the Halloween dance the school throws, and spend the bulk of the night at home.
I don't know what it is, I didn't have dreams nearly my entire sophomore year, and now all of the sudden I have been having all of these crazy dreams involving hot air balloons, my house getting shelled, and a horse named daisy who was in fact, covered in flowers. I keep trying to interpret them, but its kind of hard when I don't really know what I am looking for. Besides, my dreams are usually completely random and straight up strange. For example, last summer I had a dream about Martha Stewart turning into a vampire and ravaging Wal-Mart. W T F. I guess maybe the next book I buy should be about interpreting dreams.
This week I have been able to work with one of our horses, Breezy. She is a bay TB mare, and absolutely fabulous. Even though she hasn't been worked in god knows how long, she remember basic commands. Probably today I will start working her with tack on. I will hopefully be able to ride soon. There is a big field some people just hayed across the street that I have had my eye on.
[9/27/08] Well, this has been an absolutely hectic week. On Tuesday, my brother Dakota set the yard on fire. Yeah, that was absolutely brilliant. What happened was, he started to burn some paper trash, and instead of keeping an eye on it, he went inside. So about an hour later, we heard an explosion which sounded like a gun sounding. My step mom looked outside and nothing looked out of the norm, so she just came back inside. Then she was sitting in her office and saw flames. so we ran outside (my sister is was calling the fire-department) and put out the flames. The fire had already eaten half of the yard, though most of it was only smoldering, and was starting to go into the horse fields. So we put most of that out, and we sprayed down the surrounding areas to make sure nothing else caught on fire. So I mean, that wasn't so bad, but it could have ended up disastrous.
Okay, so on Thursday, I was running a little late, and I was halfway down my driveway when I realized I was wearing my crappy sandals instead of good school shoes, so I was running down our driveway (its really steep and made of gravel) and my knee popped out of the socket (its not that unusual, me left knee is a bad knee, and pops out at random. I get used to it) and because I was running downhill, I couldn't stop. SO I ran about three steps (crunch crunch crunch) with my knee out of the socket until I fell. I have some great bruises on my right leg. Luckily, my knee popped back into place as I fell. Well, I got up, brushed off my jeans, sucked it up, and got onto the bus. I was fine up until the end of second period, I noticed that during the class that the knee was starting to swell up, and at the end of the call I couldn't straighten it out or put weight on it, so my friend Leslie helped me to the nurse and I put some ice on it and called Rae (my stepmom), and she picked me up. So we went to the doctor, and I got to ride around in a wheelchair, and I got an X-ray. I felt bad because I yelled at the nurse ( she yanked my leg when we I was getting onto the table) and it sent pain across my entire body. :[ There was nothing wrong with the bones, but the Doctor wrote me up to get an MRI at the hospital in Clarksville for the the next day.
So I went to Clarksville (The doctor said I couldn't go to school on my bum leg) and got a MRI done. I tried to pop some wheelies on my wheelchair, but I only succeeded in getting some nasty looks from the other people. So they rolled me back and I changed into hospital scrubs, and Rae was pointing at all the lesbians (there were a whole bunch that day. xD), and then the nurse came (who was a lesbian) and set me up for the MRI. It was really loud and it made my foot twitch. But I opened my mouth to yawn about 15 minutes in, and I found that when I opened my mouth, the noise changed. So I moved my lips around and made music to pass the time. ahha. If you ever have a MRI, try it. :]
We wont know until Tuesday what happened, but when I find out, I will tell you. Oh, and here are some pictures from the fire:
[8/30/08] Sorry its taken me so long to come and update this, I have been pretty busy studying for chemistry and French. ugh. It seems like times moves slower then it should up here, and I think it me looking forward to staying home on the weekends that keeps me same. Isn't that sad? I used to look forward to going out all weekend and now all I want to do is stay home and chill out around the farm. Its really peaceful out here, except the hybrid wolves are back (a year ago this compound with a bunch of them had a breech and a bunch of them got out, they killed a whole bunch of our cats and we see them at the top of our property sometimes) so this weekend me and my brother have to put some bait out to kill them.
But enough about the farm, its not like I stay at home 24/7. I got to go to the football game about two weeks ago. :] It was actually really fun. My sister and her boyfriend drove me and my brother out to the game. We were losing at first, but we ended up winning the game. I had a lot of fun, running around with my friend Rachel. She ended up decking this guy and busting open his lip. It was great. School has been so so, I really don't have a problem with any of my classes, but I really wish I was taking English this semester, maybe I will take two English classes so I can have on each semester? haha. I really enjoy my French class, besides being god awful at speaking it. Its always really fun because my friends Travis and Alex are really funny. For our exercise (its a state law that TN classes have to exercise five minutes each class. I guess they think we are all fat) we have to do the numa-numa dance. There is this one girl who gets really into it. Me and Alex usually face her to watch her dance, its HILLARIOUS.
My mom is being insane as usual. Now she is claiming that she KNOWS I am taking herd core drugs. I think I am going to take a picture of me snorting flour and tell her its crack.
[8/16/08] Today was a pretty good day. I woke up with my head at the foot of the bed, which doesn't happen that often, so I was a little excited. Is that pathetic? After that I pretty much lounged around the house messing with Paintshop Pro XI and taking naps. And later I took some pictures of my brother for his myspace. I forgot how much I really enjoyed photography. :] I will put them all on later, once I set up the page. I am still new to Microsoft Web Expressions, so I don't know how to do a lot of things. I need to read the book. haha. Tomorrow is Sunday. I miss Fayetteville.
and sorry all of these have been so short. My head is cluttered. :/
p.s. I LOVE YOU CATHERINNE
[8/15/08] Not much has been going on here in the sleepy town of Dover. I stayed home today because I was sick. :P I was pretty much miserable for most of the day, but I am feeling better now. Tomorrow I will be going to the fair (hopefully) with my friend Rachel, it will be really nice to get out of the house. I think I am starting to get cabin fever. School has been going well, its not bad, just repetitive. I have Art II first period, then Chemistry Honors, then French I, and finally Health Occupations. Oh, and I got a new cat! He is a really cute short-haired exotic. Which pretty much means he looks like a Persian with short hair and a pug nose. His name is Mr. French. We can him Monsieur Français.
[8/10/08] BTW THIS IS WHERE I WILL BE POSTING UPDATES ABOUT WHAT NEW UP HERE IN TENNESSEE. :]
Its Sunday today, so pretty much I have just been sitting here all day doing nothing but messing with this. WOOH! Jessica called, it was really nice to talk to her again, but been sooo long. Apparently a lot of people had quit where we worked-well, where I used to work- so she has been taking the opening to closing shifts. Which isn't so bad, but I know she must been feeling worn out. But other then that, all her news was pretty good. I don't think I have laughed that hard in along time. Its going to be tough to find a friend I can feel as relaxed and crazy with as I do with her. She is the only person I can think of who I can watch Mr. Rodgers with and nearly piss myself with laugher. Who am I going to watch ANTM with?
